The second class boys had lots of fun with Amy and Catherine from pocket forests and Sara from fighting words today.
We learned loads about soil and worms and the boys got the opportunity to place 4 worm hotels in our school yard. We had so much fun with the soil and worms. We will be feeding the worms with compost over the next month.
After building the worm hotel, the boys completed a writing workshop with fighting words using the worm hotel planting as a prompt for the story.

Pocket forgets and fighting words will be back in November to complete the second part of the planting and story.
