Our school is located in Dublins North East Inner City in the shadow of Irelands most famous stadium Croke Park. Our school dates back nearly 200 years to 1828 when Blessed Edmund Rice founded our school to cater for the boys in Dublins Inner city and it is named after Daniel O'Connell who championed catholic emancipation in the 1800s.
O'Connell Primary caters for boys from 2nd class to 6th class. We have ten mainstream classes and we also have 2 special classes catering for boys with ASD. Our approach to education is all about helping the children learn and grow in a quality child centred educational environment.
We aim to enable our boys to develop academically, physically, socially, spiritually and artistically to their fullest potential. We provide a top quality, child centred and very active educational programme for all in our care.
