12 boys from O'Connells teamed up with 12 girls from St. Vincents girls school for a football tournament that was run by SARI (Sport Against Racism Ireland) in Stella Maris soccer grounds on Monday 13th June. The tournament was called Football for Unity and the teams had to come up with their own rules and had to award the opposition Fair Play points after each game. It was a very enjoyable tournament and both teams made it to their respective finals. One of the team won the Cup competition while the other team lost the Plate final. Congratulations to both teams for their efforts and great respect that they showed throughout the tournament.
